Desire and hope lie at the root of the play 'The Warrior' (Juddha). Bhorot is a brave general who is not naturally inclined to commit evil deeds, but he has a deep desire for power. Eventually, his desires drive his actions. He is seduced by the idea of power and pushed on by his ambitious wife Bhumisuta. The narrative follows Bhorot's ascension to power. It explores the psychological toll of guilt, paranoia, and moral decay. The fate of Bhorot and Bhumisuta alters when they meet Shoshibhushon and his wife Monohohini. This couple represent hope, and at the end of the play, hope triumphs over desire.
