Synopsis: Once in a Song follows Aisha, a 15-year-old girl navigating adolescence amid a world in turmoil. Her mother Ammu, who once spoke to Aisha through lullabies, now struggles to make a connection.  She faces her own internal battles. Ms Wishart, Aisha’s music teacher, introduces her to the power of music. It can be a used as a tool for expressing dissent, inspiring change and healing emotional wounds. As generations clash, the play reveals how these women find a way to bridge divides and foster transformation. At its core the play explores what hope is. Where can we find it? And what does hope mean in today's world? It invites the audience to take part in the dialogue. The personal and political merge, highlighting the struggles and resilience of those who are often unheard. Once in a Song is not only a story–it's a conversation. It's a reminder of the strength of small, kind gestures found in shared human experiences.
