Jannatual Ferdous Ivy, one of BBC's 100 Most Influential Women inspired the production. She is a burns survivor, writer, filmmaker, and social activist. Ivy has spent the past 23 years working to become a symbol of hope for disabled women and burn survivors.
The storyline follows a young woman who has a tragic burn accident which leaves 60% of her body scarred. As a result, she faces betrayal from her boyfriend. Despite the severe trauma and pain, she does not fall into despair. Instead, she is resilient and determined. She has aspirations for higher education, filmmaking, mountain hiking, and literary endeavours. She finds fulfilment in helping others and striving for a more inclusive society.
This enthralling dance drama integrates kathak, Bharatanatyam, ballet, contemporary, and flamenco. Each style helps to express the passion, emotion, and profound elements of Ivy's story. They reflect her internal struggles and unwavering hope. They capture her evolution into a warrior who challenges societal beauty standards.

About the Company: Adity Dance CIC was founded in 2023. It fosters community engagement through inclusive dance spaces. It celebrates diversity and joy. It introduces Bharatanatyam and Bangladeshi Folk Dance. These dance forms are accessible to all including neurodiverse individuals. Projects encourage creativity across diverse backgrounds. Everyone is valued and included.
