African Fables, East End Tales
Join Grand Union Orchestra for a participatory musical project. This will explore diverse African cultures and the musical heritage of Tower Hamlets’ communities.
Development sessions and performance are led by artists born or brought up in an array of musical traditions. These range from South Africa and Zimbabwe, through Angola, DR Congo and Sierra Leone to Nigeria, Ghana and Somalia.
Participants will shape and develop the project from the beginning with their own material, stories and experiences. They will have the opportunity to share musical traditions.
