This exhibition is part of the East India Company Spice War Stories Project (1600-1625) by Brick Lane Circle. The wider project incorporates a historical fiction launch, theatre, dance and a screening as well as seminars and workshops.
Brick Lane Circle has been running a historical fiction writing project about the first 25 years of the English East India Company. It has researched the company's aggressive competition with the Dutch East India Company. The end game was the acquisition of valuable eastern spices. Participants have studied many archives through a variety of academic perspectives. They present their discoveries at the Festival of Spice War Stories.
Open 11am to 6 pm, except Wednesday 25 November 2023 (11am – 9pm).
Free admission to view the exhibition. Some other activities need booking on Eventbrite
