Free cycle training for all ages
Anyone who works, studies or lives in Tower Hamlets can take advantage of the free adult cycle training scheme. Family cycle training sessions are also available.
Children
Bikeability Cycle Training for children is offered to schools in Tower Hamlets. The sessions are run by Cycle Confident on behalf of the council. For further details visit the Cycle Confident website.
Adults and commuter cycling
Free one-to-one and group adult cycle skills sessions are also available for anyone who lives, works or studies in Tower Hamlets, you are eligible for our free one-to-one and group adult cycle skills sessions, run by Bikeworks on behalf of the council.
The sessions cover all levels from complete beginner up to commuter cycling.

If you do not have your own bike, you can borrow one for the session.
You can also take your cycle training sessions (at any level, from beginners to advanced cyclists) on Santander Cycles. They are available from docking stations across the borough.
You will have to pay the usage and access fees of the Santander Cycle Hire Scheme if you use those bikes for your training. Please see TFL for information on fees and membership options.
Family cycle training course
Family cycle training courses are available during school holidays, aimed at parents and accompanying children from years 3 to 6. The courses are provided by Bikeworks on behalf of the council. For further details visit the Bikeworks website or e-mail enquiries@bikeworks.org.uk
