High Streets
High Streets play a vital role in Tower Hamlets, providing essential goods and services, offering jobs for local people and acting as hubs for our communities.
The High Streets Team makes improvements to the borough’s retail centres via the delivery of capital and revenue projects and partnership working with business, resident and community organisations and other council teams.
The High Streets Team delivers projects across the whole borough, but mostly located within the borough’s district centres, including:
- Bethnal Green
- Brick Lane
- Chrisp Street
- Middlesex Street
- Roman Road East
- Roman Road West
- Watney Market
- Whitechapel
The High Streets Team also delivers projects in our specialist neighbourhood centres like Columbia Road and Redchurch Street.
