The deadline to apply to register to vote in the Bow East by-election on Thursday 12 September is Tuesday 27 August. You can apply on the government website and it usually takes about five minutes.
If you are registered to vote and want to apply for a postal vote or change an existing postal or proxy vote for the by-election, the application deadline is 5pm on Wednesday 28 August and you can apply online.
To vote in person at a polling station in the by-election you will need to show an approved form of photo ID. You can check if you have the right approved photo ID or apply for a free voter authority certificate (VAC) online. The deadline to apply for a VAC for the by-election is 5pm on Wednesday 4 September.
If you wish to apply for a proxy vote in the Bow East by-election the application deadline is also 5pm on Wednesday 4 September and you can apply on the government website.
