Personalised disabled bay permit terms and conditions
General Terms and Conditions
1.1 You must live in the Borough.
1.2 You must upload the documents showing your full name and current address.
1.3 A permit is issued free of charge.
1.4 Your vehicle must not exceed 2.3m (7’ 6”) in height or 5.25m (17’ 3”) in length.
1.5 A maximum of one permit per bay are allowed at the property.
1.6 Your permit is only valid in the allocated bay and for the vehicle registration number on the permit. The permit must be displayed clearly inside your front windscreen.
1.7 Your permit is not valid in any other bay, including suspended bays.
1.8 After you receive your new blue badge you should reapply for your bay.
1.9 Your permit will expire one month after the Blue Badge expiry date. The council will not remind you to re-apply for the bay and/or permit. It is your responsibility to make a renewal application before your bay and/or permit expires.
1.10 If you no longer require a bay or meet the eligibility criteria you must inform the Council within 28 days.
1.11 We reserve the right, to request at any time, any eligibility document(s) or supporting evidence to check that you are eligible for a permit.
1.12 If you breach any of the terms and conditions your permit may be cancelled without prior notice and you may be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice.
1.13 If your bay is suspended then you are responsible for making alternative arrangements.
1.14 If you are issued with a temporary permit (ceased enforcement), it takes two working days to upload on our system. The temporary permit is only valid for maximum of one month. You are responsible for making alternative parking arrangements until the temporary permit is active.
1.15 The council reserves the right to change or update the terms and conditions of a Personalised Disabled Bay permit. Any changes will be published on the Council website.
1.16 A Personalised Disabled Bay that was previously approved does not guarantee a successful renewal.
