The Development Review Panel

The Community Development Panel helps us understand the needs of the local community.

The panel reviews and comments on significant proposals at an early stage to influence their design development.

This makes sure that new developments are of the highest possible design quality, meeting the needs of people living, working, studying and visiting the area.

How is the panel made up?

Community Development Panel Members

A group of 20 diverse members of the community selected from across the area, to advise on the design of new developments.

The chair

A built environment professional selected by us.

The chair guides the meetings, making sure that everyone has the chance to give their views.

Frame Projects

Frame Projects are a project management consultancy.

They are responsible for writing reports, summarising the panel feedback and arranging the meetings.

Tower Hamlets Council

We are an independent government body that oversee planning and developments.

The applicants

The applicants are developers and designers who present new developments to the panel.

They receive feedback to improve their projects.
