Paying your rent this Christmas

With Christmas festivities fast approaching, we understand that our residents want to enjoy these special occasions with their family and friends by sharing presents and hosting Christmas dinners.

We ask you to be mindful of paying your rent payments including your essential bills to avoid falling into arrears.

We have included a list of tips and advice to support you this Christmas:

  • Set a budget – Creating a budget using your income and outgoings to see how much you can afford this Christmas.

  • Do not forget bills and essential payments – Rent payments, council tax and utility bills are priorities to avoid falling into arrears.

  • Avoiding borrowing – With the added pressure of gift giving this Christmas, borrowing to pay for the expense of Christmas can lead to further debts. If you are struggling with debts contact our Financial Inclusion Team on 020 7364 5015 (option 3).

  • Consider alternatives – With so many options available, shopping around will help find the best deals this Christmas season. Visit the Money Helpers website to find budgeting tips and advice.
