Partnership Task Force
The Partnership Task Force (PTF) is a team of police officers funded by the council.
The team currently consists of two sergeants and 10 constables, with plans in place to increase to four sergeants and 20 constables (when resources are made available).
These officers operate in uniform and plain clothes and are tasked to a number of key priorities agreed with the Mayors Office of Policing and Crime (MOPAC). The team are funded for three years until end of March 2021.
The key priorities include
- tackling drug dealing
- tackiling and reducing violent crime
- responding to public concerns on street sex working, referring to pathways for support and enforcement/diversion activity against those involved in kerb crawling.
The team are tasked through a weekly tasking meeting together with other enforcement teams employed by the council.
