St Georges Town Hall

St Georges Town Hall is a recently renovated building located in the heart of Shadwell in East London. We have two ceremony rooms allowing you to have your perfect London ceremony in the space that is right for you.

The Tower Suite

Our more traditional room, The Tower Suite, is an old town hall able to seat up to 200 guests and is perfect for those who wish to celebrate in grand style in an exquisite setting.

There is direct access to a dressing room for those who are electing to have an enhanced ceremony with us, where you can do any last minute touch-ups. 

The Hamlet Suite

Our more contemporary room, The Hamlet Suite, is located just off the main grand staircase and with a capacity of 20 guests.

It is perfect for those who wish to have a more intimate ceremony and features a large flower frame for that iconic signing photo, and a neon sign wishing you a happily ever after.

The Garden Suite at St Georges Town Hall

The Garden Suite is our newest room and is an exclusive post-ceremony reception room for couples having their marriage or civil partnership in the Hamlet Suite or Tower Suite in St Georges Town Hall.

This large open space can hold up to 80 people standing but can be tailored by you, to your needs.

The room is available for 3 hour intervals in the morning or afternoon and you can use it to have a mini-reception with your loved ones. Wether you want to pop open a bottle of bubbly, or have that first slice of cake, the Garden Suite is the ideal space for you to spend time with your guests after your ceremony; perhaps before going to more celebrations elsewhere.

We are licenced for 80 people standing with poseur tables, 50 people seated in ceremony style, or a maximum of 50 people seated around rectangular or round tables.

After your ceremony

There are opportunities for photography on the grand sweeping staircase which leads you to our gardens at the rear, with historic architecture providing the perfect backdrop for your ceremony photos.
