Dangerous road junctions

The council has an ongoing programme to improve the safety and efficiency of the road network in Tower Hamlets.

Most safety schemes are targeted at locations with the worst accident records over the previous three years, but many improvements come from requests made by the public.

The council aims to make any dangerous roads and junctions safe for all road users by installing where needed:

• pedestrian crossings
• traffic calming features to reduce traffic
• speed and warning signs
