Passenger services
Passenger services provide routine operations through an agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) with Education and Social services. As well as other council departments requiring passenger transport.
It schedules, provides, and manages journeys under this SLA. It uses its own fleet and external providers to carry children with Special Educational Needs and vulnerable adults and elders from their homes to schools, day centres, and lunch clubs.
We also provide regular journeys for schools and trips for council-funded projects and local community and voluntary groups.
We operate a range of vehicles from 16 seat minibuses to 30 seat coaches.
The majority of our fleet is fully accessible to wheelchair users.
All staff operating our services have appropriate PATS and MIDAS training. These are industry-standard courses for working with disabled children and adults. They wear uniforms, carry ID, and are routinely checked by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB).
We currently operate 56 daily routes with our own buses using the Inhouse service.
