Trainee teachers at Cumbria University in London.

Background

PE and sport premium funding has been in place in primary schools since 2013, as has the most recent national curriculum. However, a recent national survey reported that only 56 per cent of primary teachers felt confident teaching PE, with 15 per cent reporting that they are not confident.
