East London Out Project (ELOP) – Tower Hamlets LGBT Community Forum
Do you live, work or study in Tower Hamlets?
Are you interested in the experiences of the LGBT community in any of the following four areas?
- Adult Social Care and elderly people of the LGBT community
- Faith, Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity
- LGBT Hate Crime
- LGBT Asylum Seeker & Refugee Support
Have you had good experiences in any of the above areas either as a service user or provider?
Are you proud of the services that you provide to the LGBT community in Tower Hamlets?
Would you like to see improved service provision introduced throughout the borough?
Could your experiences of good practices be more widely implemented across the borough?
If you can answer yes to any of these questions, then we would like to invite you to join the Tower Hamlets LGBT Community Forum and to have your voice heard.
The forum aims to identify current and potential projects or services that work well. It aims to drive changes to improve services targeted at the LGBT community, to ensure that the voices of the LGBT community are heard and to improve LGBT representation in the borough. The forum actively engages and invites participation with individuals and organisations through popular social media communications and an online presence via a website.
The forum meets face-to-face every month to focus on each of the main topic areas and forum members will be encouraged to stay connected virtually in between forum meetings. The forum gathers and collates information via online surveys, social media listening and interaction. Developments and findings are updated and shared regularly through emailed newsletters as well as at the forum meetings.
If you would like to get involved with the forum or find out more, contact LGBTforum@elop.org.
We hope that you will become a member of the forum and have your voice heard in a way that can positively influence policy making borough wide.
