There are more than 80 halls and venues to choose from in this section. Venues range from community centres to churches. Use the page options to scroll through the list of venues.

Information is provided by the venues themselves so please contact them directly if you have any further enquiries. We do not endorse or show preference to any of the venues listed.

    Premises available for occasional hire.
  2. Holiday Inn Whitechapel
    Description
    A hotel with multiple spaces for hire.
  3. Hub 67
    Description
    All hire income will be used to support community projects in Hackney Wick.
  4. idea Store Bow
    Description
    Idea Store Bow can cater for a variety of activities ranging from meetings, seminars and conferences housed in a modern architectural building.
  5. Idea Store Canary Wharf
    Description
    Idea Store Canary Wharf can cater for a variety of corporate and social activities ranging from meetings, seminars and conferences housed in a modern architectural building.
  6. Idea Store Chrisp Street
    Description
    Idea Store Chrisp Street can cater for a variety of corporate and social activities ranging from meetings, seminars, interviews and conferences housed in a modern architectural building.
  7. Idea Store Whitechapel
    Description
    Idea Store Whitechapel can cater for a variety of corporate and social activities ranging from meetings, seminars, conferences, training, interviews, dance rehearsals and hospitality events housed in a modern architectural building.
  8. Island House community centre
    Description
    Centre available for hire to community groups but alcohol is not permitted on the premises.
  9. John Orwell Sports centre
    Description
    The sports hall is available to hire, seating up to 400 people. The activity hall may also be hired and has room for up to 250 people.
  10. Kirkland centre
    Description
    Regularly hired for private functions, parties, corporate events and for TV and filming usage, we offer a great multi-purpose space.
  11. Langdon Park sports & community centre
    Description
    The function hall comfortably seats 180 and is available to hire on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays. There are also two meeting rooms available for private hire.
  12. Lansbury HARCA community centre
    Description
    The hall capacity can hold up to 70 people. Kitchen, microwave and tea and coffee facilities are also available. Equipment such as flipcharts, TV, crèche and computer room with 12 computers are also available for hire.

    Description
    London Executive Offices offer meeting room hire, serviced offices and virtual offices in prestigious locations around London, catering to all needs and budgets.
  15. Minerva community centre
    Description
    The Minerva community centre offers a range of services the facility has a medium sized main hall used by the local youth club and toddler groups, separate kitchen facility for cooking classes.

    Description

  22. Poplar after School Club (Poplar Play Centre)
    Description
    This voluntary sector play centre has been set up by parents, providing an after school club during term time for children aged 3-8 years. There is also a community nursery (see separate record), a family drop-in service and a toy library where parents and/or child carers spend time with their children. Please call for further details.
  23. Poplar, Blackwall and District Rowing Club
    Description
    The Boathouse has a hall with bar, and balcony overlooking the Thames opposite the Royal Naval College at Greenwich. Capacity is up to 120 people for seated functions, 200 for others.
  24. Professional Development Centre
    Description
    The Professional Development Centre is an affordable dedicated meeting, training, event and conference venue, flooded with natural light and full of the latest facilities. Based in the heart of East London, on Bethnal Green Road.
  25. Queen Mary, University of London
    Description
    Events & Hospitality QM offers venues accessible in three central London locations (zones 1 and 2) with excellent transport links, including the main College campus at Mile End. Facilities include over 100 purpose built meeting facilities available year round for 10- 800 and 2000 single and twin ensuite bedrooms available during the summer.

  27. Samuda Community Centre
    Description
    The Samuda Community Centre is the base for Cubitt Town Youth project. The hall is available to hire.
  28. Shadwell Basin Outdoor Activity Centre (SBOAC)
    Description
    The project is a registered charity providing dragonboat racing, windsurfing, canoeing, angling, sailing and climbing. The facilities, which are also available for hire, include seven acres of sheltered water, slipway access to the Thames, rooms with changing facilities, club and lecture rooms and a nursery training area.

    We have two medium sized rooms available for hire, one is a large hall space which can hold 50 people and can be used as a classroom for 30 people seated.

  31. St George in the East Church
    Description
    Church of England. Meeting rooms, and the church itself, are available for hire by local groups, but there is no separate hall.
  32. St James the Less Church
    Description
    Church of England. The hall is available to hire for groups, organisations and children`s parties. Capacity is approximately 70 - 100.
  33. St Johns Community Centre

    Community centre for St Johns Estate and the surrounding area. The hall is available for weddings, parties and by organisations in the community.
  34. St Margaret's House
    Description
    St. Margaret's House Settlement is a unique charity organisation that provides working space, support and opportunities to community organisations and other charities in the borough
  35. St Matthias Community Centre
    Description
    St Matthias is an old church building which has been renovated for the community to use. The premises are available to hire and include a hall, with capacity for 200 people seated or 150 with tables. There is an optional stage, large garden and a fully equipped kitchen.   36. St Paul's Bow Common Church
    Description
    St Paul's Bow Common Church venue hire spaces suitable for markets, exhibitions, large meetings and community events. A hall space Hall suitable for long term lets.
  37. St Pauls church
    Description
    A flexible space used for worship on Sundays and a variety of other activities throughout the week. A combination of rooms are available for hire suitable for concerts, meetings and exercise classes.
  38. St Peters Centre
    Description
    The centre has rooms and hall available for hire.
  39. St Peters north community centre
    Description
    Modern multi purpose built community facilities with two floors which include shall, meeting rooms, kitchen & toilet. Suitable for medium sized groups for activities and meetings.
  40. Sundial centre

    Bright and spacious community hall for up to 50 guests.
