98.3 per cent of children due to start primary school in September have been offered a place at one of their preferred primary schools - a higher proportion than last year.
The London Borough of Tower Hamlets received 3,000 applications to primary schools this year.
92.3 per cent secured a place at their first preference school, which is a small increase compared to last year and above the London average of 89.1 per cent.
98.1 per cent secured a place at one of their top three preferences, which is also a small increase from last year and above the London average of 97.2 per cent.
A very small percentage of children did not receive an offer at a preferred school but have been offered a nearby alternative.
All Tower Hamlets children starting primary school in September 2024 have therefore received an offer of a place on National Offer Day 2024.
There are also enough places remaining at schools across the borough to accommodate new arrivals to the area.
