WorkPath
About WorkPath
WorkPath is the brand name of the council’s employment & skills service and works in collaboration with employers, training providers, businesses, schools, universities, colleges and other partners to deliver an integrated service that helps residents into good work.
Our job is to give you the right information, advice, and guidance to help you achieve your training and employment goals. WorkPath has a variety of support programmes that assist residents to achieve key skills, access apprenticeships, work experience programmes and vacancies. We work across all sectors including creative and cultural, tech, construction, hospitality, security, business administration and many more to bring opportunities to our residents.
The journey for residents can be complex with people needing to overcome multiple barriers. This can be overwhelming, but WorkPath focuses on personal support and brings all services and opportunities together for you as one seamless service.
We have different entry points to register depending on the service, but once the registration has been completed, you will be allocated an officer who will help you identify your needs and goals, and who will help you develop a personal action plan to overcome barriers.
If you are already working, we can also help you make a fresh start in a new career direction, or progress higher in your chosen area of work.
